Saving a Customized Scene

You can customize a scene by modifying a predefined scene and saving it to a new file. We recommend that you choose a predefined scene whose properties are closest to the ones you want to create.

  1. Use the Edit Scene PropertyManager to change an existing scene.
  2. On the Advanced tab, click Save Scene.
  3. Click Save.

The folder where you saved the file is added to System Options > File Locations > Custom - Scenes.

  4. If a prompt appears asking whether to make the folder visible in the Scenes folder of the Task Pane, click Yes.

The folder appears in the Task Pane. System folders are yellow. Folders containing custom scenes are blue.

Use one of these techniques to send models with custom appearances, decals, scenes (including any required lights) to others:
    • In Document Properties > Model Display, select Store Appearance, Decal and Scene data in model file.
    • Use Pack and Go.
