New/Edit Template - Template Name

Use this screen to enter the template name. Users will see this name from the Windows Explorer New menu.

To display this screen, do one of the following:

  • To create a new template, right-click Templates and click New Template.
  • To edit an existing template, double-click the template.
Menu string

Type the template name, for example, Create Project. From Windows Explorer, Enterprise PDM template names are listed from the New menu (right-click in the file listing of a vault folder) between Folder and the standard Windows templates.

You can group templates into submenus using backslashes (\). For example, two templates named Create Project\Mechanical and Create Project\Building appear in Windows Explorer as New > Create Project > Mechanical and New > Create Project > Building .
