Web Server Overview

The SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM Web server gives users live access to one or more vaults from any system using Windows Internet Explorer over the internet or an intranet.

To enable Web access to an Enterprise PDM vault, you must install and set up the Enterprise PDM Web server. You can install on any Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) enabled system running the Enterprise PDM archive server, database server, or client. You can also install on a separate system, preferably in its own DMZ for more secure access.

For information on installing and configuring the Web server and Web client, see the SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM Web Server Guide in the \Support\Guides\<lang> folder of the installation media.
