Loading Envelopes as Lightweight or Read-Only

You can set system options to load envelopes as lightweight or read-only.

By default, when you open an assembly, envelope components are loaded in the same mode as other components. However, you can set system options to automatically load envelopes as lightweight or read only (or both).

To load envelopes as lightweight or read-only:

  1. Click Options Tool_Options_Standard.gif (Standard toolbar) or Tools > Options.
  2. On the System Options tab, click Assemblies.
  3. Under Envelopes, select one or both:
    Option Description
    Automatically load lightweight Loads all envelopes as lightweight.
    Load read-only Loads all envelopes as read-only.
  4. Click OK.

    The next time you open an assembly that contains envelopes, the envelopes are loaded per the options you selected.
