Requiring Electronic Signatures for Transitions

You can configure specific workflow transitions to prompt for an electronic signature when users change the state of a file.

If you enable electronic signatures, users must enter their Windows or vault password to initiate the state change.

You can only require electronic signatures for normal and parallel transitions.

To require an electronic signature for a state change:

  1. Click Workflows and double-click a workflow.
  2. Click the appropriate transition in the workflow diagram.
  3. In the transition's Properties dialog box, click Authentication.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Save and close the workflow.
