Outline Filters

Use the Outline Filters panel to filter out board cutouts, keep-out areas, keep-in areas, and other outlines.

To open the Outline Filters panel:

Click the Tools tab, then click Outlines in the Filter area of the Tools toolbar.

  • Outline filters are available only if there are areas of that type present in the ECAD data.
  • The number of areas in the ECAD data for a given type is displayed to the right of the filter, for example, Component Keep-Out Areas (11).
  • Not all ECAD file types support all types of outlines. For example, trace, hole, silkscreen, and testpoint keep-out areas are only supported by IDF 4.0.
