Regular Step Explode - Parameters

Explode Steps

Displays existing explode steps.

Explode Stepn One or more selected components exploded to a single position.
Chainn A stack of two or more selected components exploded along an axis using Auto-space components on drag.

Settings

PM_components_select.gif Explode Step Components Displays components selected for the current explode step.
  Explode Direction Displays the direction selected for the current explode step. Click Reverse direction PM_reverse_direction.gif if necessary.
dim_lin_d.png Explode Distance Displays the distance to move the component for the current explode step.
  Rotation Axis For explode steps with component rotation, sets the rotation axis. Click Reverse direction if necessary.
Rotation Angle Sets the degree of component rotation.
  Rotate about each component origin Sets the components to rotate about the component origin. When selected, automatically populates the Rotation Axis option.
  Apply Click to preview changes to explode steps.
  Done Click to complete new or changed explode steps.

Options

  Auto-space components on drag Automatically spaces a group of components equally along an axis as you drag.
PM_minimum_value.gif Adjust the spacing between chain components Adjusts the distance between components placed by Auto-space components on drag.
  Select subassembly's parts When selected, enables you to select individual components of a subassembly. When cleared, enables you to select an entire subassembly.
  Reuse Subassembly Explode Uses explode steps that you defined previously in a selected subassembly.
