Use the Settings dialog box to change the SOLIDWORKS PDM client settings for the current Windows profile.
To display this dialog box:
Under Local Settings, double-click Settings or right-click Settings and select Open.

Use the Automatic Login tab to configure SOLIDWORKS PDM to log you in using a particular name or the name of the current Windows profile.
Use the External References tab to specify vault folders for the SOLIDWORKS PDM software to search when handling external file references.
Use the Zip Program tab to define the archive utility that compresses files when you copy files and their references with the SOLIDWORKS PDM Copy Tree command.
