Settings Dialog Box - Automatic Login

Use the Automatic Login tab to configure SOLIDWORKS PDM to log you in using a particular name or the name of the current Windows profile.

If you do not configure automatic login, the standard login dialog box appears when you access the selected vault.

To display the Settings dialog box:

Double-click Settings or right-click Settings and select Open.

Vault

Select the vault to modify.

For a vault to be listed, you must set up a local view.
Use server default

Uses the default login setting defined on the archive server.

This option activates automatic login only for vaults that are configured to use Windows login. Use the Archive Server Configuration tool to define the default login type on the archive server.
Use automatic login for this vault
  • Login as the following user

    Logs you in using the specified user name and password.

  • Log in as the currently logged in user in Windows

    Logs you in using the user name and password of the current Windows profile. Select this option if the vault login type is defined as Windows login on the archive server.

    This option is available only for vaults that are configured to use Windows login.
