Default Options - Load/Fixture

Sets the default size of symbols for analysis features, and changes the default symbol colors.

To display the dialog box, click Simulation > Options. On the Default Options tab, click Load/Fixture.

Symbol size

Use the spin arrows or drag the slider to set the desired symbol size.

Symbol colors

Sets the default color of symbols for analysis features like loads, fixtures, connectors, and mesh control.

Additional options

Preview symbols by default, when defining loads, restraints, and mesh control Displays symbols of loads, restraints, and mesh control as you define them in their PropertyManagers.
Check for load/fixture definitions on duplicate faces (slower performance) Checks if any face entities are accidentally selected twice in a load or fixture definition. When selected, it takes slighter longer for a PropertyManager to close, particularly in definitions with many face selections.

Setting Default Symbol Settings

To set the default settings of symbols for analysis features:

  1. Click Simulation > Options. On the Default Options tab, click Load/Fixture.
  2. In the Default Options - Load/Fixture dialog box:
    • To change the Symbol size, click the spin arrows to increase or decrease the size of the symbol, or drag the slider to the right (increase) or to the left (decrease).
    • To change the default color of an analysis feature symbol, click its name in the Symbol colors list box, then click Edit. Select the desired color from the color palette. Click OK to close the Color dialog box.
  3. Click OK.
    You change the default size and color of a symbol from the PropertyManager of an analysis feature. To change the color, click Edit Color under Symbol Settings and select the desired color. To change the default Symbol size , click the spin arrows to increment or decrement the size of the symbol.
