Default Options - Plot

Sets the options for result plots.

To display the dialog box, click Simulation > Options. On the Default Options tab, click Plot.

Annotation and range

Show minimum value annotation If checked, the annotation for the minimum value of the plot is displayed.
Show maximum value annotation If checked, the annotation for the maximum value of the plot is displayed.
Show range based on shown components only If checked, the result range in the legend applies to the shown part only and not to the whole model.

Settings options

Fringe options Sets the display for the fringe plot.

Point

Uses colored point contours.

Line

Uses colored line contours.

Discrete

Uses color-filled contours with discrete shading.

Continuous

Uses color-filled contours with smooth shading.

Boundary options

None

Sets the display of the model boundary off.

Model

Displays the boundary edges of the model.

Mesh

Superimposes the selected result plot on the mesh plot.

Translucent (Single color)

Allows you to select a color and set the transparency level of the model.

Translucent (Part colors)

Allows you to set the transparency level of the model. Part colors are used.

Show excluded bodies

Translucent (Single color)

Displays excluded bodies in a single color of your choice. You can set the transparency level.

Translucent (Part colors).

Displays excluded bodies in their shaded mode colors. You can set the transparency level.

Show hidden bodies

Translucent (Single color)

Displays hidden bodies in a single color of your choice. You can set the transparency level.

Translucent (Part colors)

Displays hidden bodies in their shaded mode colors. You can set the transparency level.

Deformed shape options

Show results on undeformed shape The software displays results on the undeformed model.
Show results on deformed shape The software displays results on the deformed model. You can set the deformation scale factor to Automatic or True (1.0):
  • all studies with "No penetration" contact
  • studies with the "Large displacement" option
  • all other studies
Use True scale to avoid false display of interfering parts after deformation.
Superimpose model on deformed shape If checked, the application displays the undeformed shape of the model on the deformed shape for structural studies using the following settings:

Translucent (part colors)

Allows you to set the transparency level of the model. Part colors will be used.

Translucent (single color)

Allows you to select a color by clicking on the color box and set the transparency level of the model.

Any changes to the above settings take effect for new plots only. They do not affect existing plots.

Beam diagram options
