Saving Files to a Collaborative Space

When you save a model and its components from your computer to a Collaborative Space, you are uploading the files to the cloud.

If the model is an assembly, you can save the entire assembly, or select which subassembly and part files to save.

To save files to a Collaborative Space:

  1. With the model open, click File > 3DEXPERIENCE Platform > Save to Collaborative Space.

The Save to Collaborative Space dialog box displays the file name, status, and target collaborative space for each file in the model.

  2. The Default Collaborative Space displays the target space for all the files in the model. To upload the model to a different target, click the list and select another space.
  3. To save a specific file to a different collaborative space, hover over the space name in the Collaborative Space column, click the down arrow, and select a target space for that file.
  4. To exclude a subassembly or part from being saved to the cloud, in the Action column, click the arrow next to Save to Collaborative, and select Do Not Save.
  5. Click Check for Duplicates to make sure that none of the file names in the list are identical to files already in the collaborative space.

If a duplicate file name is found for a file, you must either cancel or save this file to a different Collaborative Space.

  6. Click Save to upload the file.
With the eDrawings Connection app, you can only upload one file at a time.
