Thickness

Use the Thickness screen in the Costing Template Editor to set the thickness and cost values for each class and material combination.

To display this screen:

  • In the Costing Template Editor, click Thickness.
You can copy and paste numerical data in the Costing Template Editor.
Filters Displays the rows that match the Class, Custom Material, and Thickness selected.
Class Sets a Class you defined on the Material screen.
Custom Material Sets a Custom Material you defined on the Material screen that is associated with the Class.
Thickness (gauge) (For English Standard units only.) Sets a thickness gauge for the Class and Custom Material combination.
Thickness Sets a thickness value for the Class and Custom Material combination. For English Standard units, type the material thickness for the specific gauge in inches. (If you do not type a value, the field is displayed in yellow.) For Metric Standard units, type the value in millimeters.

You can have many instances of the same Class and Custom Material combinations with different Thickness values to denote various thicknesses that affect costs.
Cost Sets a cost per unit weight for the Class, Custom Material, and Thickness combination.
