Default Templates
Options
Specify the folder and template file for automatically created parts,
assemblies, and drawings. For example, when you import a file from another
application or create a derived part, the default template is used for
the new document.
To prepare a template for use as a default,
create the document
template, add it to a template tab,
and specify the template location.
To change the default template:
Click Options
or
Tools, Options.
Select Default
Templates.
Click the appropriate browse button (Parts,
Assemblies, or Drawings).
In the New SolidWorks
Document dialog box, select the template you prepared and click
OK.
Select:
Click OK.
Reset All returns all
system options, not only those on the active page, to the system defaults.
