You can increment either manually or automatically as part of the workflow.
To display this dialog box, select a file and click .
Version of references |
Shows the reference tree by using:- Referenced version. Uses the attached version of the references.
- Latest version. Uses the latest version of the references.

File Name |
Selected files and files referenced by them. For assemblies, the list can include drawings, parts, sub-assemblies, and SolidWorks Simulation files.
The related drawings can be in the current folder or in a folder elsewhere in the vault. By default, Enterprise PDM checks the entire vault for related drawings. The scope of the search depends on administrative settings.

Result validates whether you can increment the file's revision, either OK, a warning, or an error.
