Depending on Internet Explorer security settings and current system permissions, the automatic Web client installation might fail.

The Internet Explorer security settings are too high. |
If the security settings are set too high in Internet Explorer, the installation does not start. A warning message that the Web client cannot be initialized is displayed.

Check security settings by selecting and do one of the following:
- Click Default Level and decrease the security settings by adjusting the slider from Medium to Low.
- Add the Enterprise PDM Web share URL to the Trusted Sites.
- Customize the security level to allow ActiveX components to be installed.

A content blocker prevents the installation. |
If the system has a content blocker, such as a virus scanning utility or pop-up blocker, the Active X control might be prevented from installing. |
Do one of the following:
- Allow pop-ups for this URL.
- Disable the content blocker.

Your local Windows permissions prevent the installation. |
For security reasons, a user with local administrator permissions must perform the initial ActiveX Web client installation. |
