Recognizing Multibody Parts

FeatureWorks supports recognition of imported multibody parts in one session.

To recognize multibody parts in one session:

  1. Open the multibody part document.

  2. Click Recognize Features art\ICN_IFR.gif (Features toolbar) or Insert, FeatureWorks, Recognize Features.

  3. In the dialog box, select the imported body to recognize, then click OK.

  4. In the PropertyManager, select the recognition options, then click Recognize or , depending on the Recognition Mode.

  5. In the Intermediate Stage PropertyManager, click .

FeatureWorks recognizes the body. All recognized features appear in the SolidWorks FeatureManager design tree. The remaining imported body is available for recognition.

Now you recognize the remaining imported body.

  1. Right-click the remaining imported body in the FeatureManager design tree and select FeatureWorks, Recognize Features.

  2. In the PropertyManager, select the recognition options, then click Recognize or , depending on the Recognition Mode.

  3. In the Intermediate Stage PropertyManager, click to complete recognition of this imported body.
