Example of Self-Aligning Bearing

When the components supporting a shaft are not more rigid than the shaft, you should not use a bearing fixture. Instead, use a bearing connector between the shaft and the housing. In the example shown below, the bearing connectors are defined between cylindrical faces of the shaft and spherical faces of the housing.
