Configuring Logins on a File Vault

Properties you assign to an individual file vault can override the defaults set up for the archive server.

When a file vault is replicated, the vault-specific settings of the source vault are activated for the replicated vault.

To change file vault settings:

  1. Right-click a file vault and select Properties.
  2. Select the Login tab.
  3. Clear Use default login type.
  4. Select a Login type:
    • SOLIDWORKS Enterprise PDM login
    • Windows login
    • LDAP login
  5. For Windows login or LDAP login types, click Settings and assign parameters.
  6. Clear Use default admin user and click Password to change the password for the Admin user.

The vault-specific admin user becomes active when you change the Admin user password.

  7. Clear Use default SQL login and click Change to assign a SQL user login and password.
  8. Click OK.

The changed settings apply to this file vault and override the default settings.
