Customized Configuration Names

You can customize configuration names in toolbox components.

  • You can display the custom information in the Configuration Name and Designation columns.
  • You can display the custom information in the FeatureManager design tree and the BOM.
  • You can export the configuration table data to Excel, edit the data, and then import the data back into Toolbox using the existing Toolbox Settings Import/Export menu.
  • You cannot use these characters in configuration names due to Microsoft and SOLIDWORKS restrictions: \ / : * ? “ < > | @
  • Customized configuration names are added to the configuration list of the Toolbox component when the new configuration is used in an assembly.
