Document Properties - Centerlines/Center Marks

Set drawing document properties for centerlines or center marks. Available for drawings only.

To open this page:

With a drawing open, click Options (Standard toolbar), select the Document Properties tab, and then select Centerlines/Center Marks.

Overall drafting standard

Overall drafting standard Inherited from the selected Drafting Standard page settings.

Centerlines

Centerline extension
Specify the default centerline extension length beyond the section geometry. This value is applied the next time you rebuild the section view.

Center marks

Size Specifies the length the center mark extends past the model edge and the size of the point symbol in the center.

Gap Available when Scale by view scale is cleared. Specifies the distance between the center mark and the extension line.
Extended lines Select to display center mark extension lines.  
Scale by view scale Select to scale center marks based on the drawing view scale. When cleared, center marks are scaled based on the drawing sheet scale.  
Centerline font Select to make the center mark extension lines follow the font selected for centerlines.
Slot center marks Select:
  • Orient to slot
  • Orient to sheet
  • Mark placement at slot centers or ends for straight slots:
  • Mark placement at slot centers or ends for arc slots:

These settings determine how straight and curved slots are created.

Centerline layer

Select a layer for elements created with the Centerline tool.
You must first create layers for the drawing before you can select them for document properties.
You must select Per Standard for Layer (Layer toolbar) in the drawing view document to apply these layer settings.

Center mark layer

Select a layer for objects created with the Center Mark tool, including linear and circular extensions between center marks.
You must first create layers for the drawing before you can select them for document properties.
You must select Per Standard for Layer (Layer toolbar) in the drawing view document to apply these layer settings.
