Creating an Angle Mate With Reference Entity

To create an angle mate with a reference axis:

  1. Make sure that the two entities to mate are constrained directly or indirectly using concentric, coincident, parallel, or distance mates.
  2. Click Mate (Assembly toolbar) or Insert > Mate.
  3. In the Mate PropertyManager, for Entities to Mate , select two entities in the graphics area or the flyout FeatureManager design tree.
  4. Under Standard Mates, click Angle and set the dimension.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Click Auto Fill Reference Entity .
    • Select a face or edge in the graphics area that is perpendicular to the two mated components.
  6. Click .
