Outputting Images

You can output images of projects with the Output Tools. These tools open the appropriate tab in the Output Tools dialog box.

Snapshot Captures what you see on the screen with more control than an ordinary screen shot.
Render Invokes raytracing at the settings you specify. Several rendering modes are available.

At the top of the Output Tools dialog box, you can select render profiles using the Smart Control Bar. You can also create custom profiles for each render type.

Available only in SOLIDWORKS Visualize Professional

Animation Renders a movie of the animations you set up in the scene.
Turntable Renders a series of frames where the objects spin on turntables.
Sun Study Renders a series of frames at different times of day.
