Using the Cable Wire, Component or Covering Library Wizard

  1. Click Tools > Routing > Routing Tools > Routing Library Manager , and click Cable Wire Library Wizard , Component Library Wizard , or Covering Library Wizard .
    You can also open either wizard from the Windows Start menu. Click All Programs > SOLIDWORKS version > SOLIDWORKS Tools > SOLIDWORKS version Routing Library Manager > wizard
  2. Select:
    • Create a new library
    • Import a library in Excel format
    • Open an existing library (XML format)
  3. Click Next.
  4. Follow the steps in the following topics, based on your selection in step 2:
    • Creating a New Cable Wire Library, Creating a New Component Library, or Creating a New Covering Library
    • Importing a Library in Excel Format
    • Opening an Existing Library
