Importing Active Directory Users into Groups (For SOLIDWORKS PDM Professional only)

When the SOLIDWORKS PDM Archive Server login type is Windows login, you can create groups by importing them from Active Directory. This lets you set up your SOLIDWORKS PDM environment to match the environment of your organization.

The import wizard imports complete user names and email addresses. An update option lets you keep SOLIDWORKS PDM synchronized with Active Directory.

If you use the Administration tool on a computer other than the computer the archive server is running on, the computer running the archive server must be "Trusted" by the domain server on which Active Directory is running. See Configuring the Active Directory Domain Controller.
