Adding Components from Windows Explorer To add components by dragging and dropping from Windows Explorer: Open an assembly. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the folder that contains the desired component. Drag the document icon from the Explorer window. A preview of the component appears. Drop it in the graphics area of the assembly window. You can inference the assembly origin. If the component has multiple configurations, the Select a configuration dialog box appears. Select the configuration you want to insert, and click OK.
