Removing a Vault Index When you remove a vault index, only the index catalog is removed; no physical file archives are affected by this operation. To remove an index from a vault archive: Start the Administration tool by doing one of the following: On Windows 7, from the Windows Start menu, select All Programs > SOLIDWORKS PDM > Administration. On Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016 or later, from the Windows Start menu, select SOLIDWORKS PDM > Administration. Log into the vault whose index you want to remove.
