You can
use the -EditPattern command to modify the shape and appearance of
associative patterns. It is the command window variant of the
EditPattern command.
To modify an associative pattern using
-EditPattern:

Type
-EditPattern at the command
prompt.

In the graphics area, specify an associative pattern and press
Enter.
Options vary according to the specified pattern:
- Circular pattern
- Linear pattern

For a circular pattern, specify the following options:

Angle between |
Specifies the included angle between the base points
of the pattern entities and the center of the pattern. Type a positive
vale and press Enter. |
Element base point |
Specifies a reference point for the entities in the
circular pattern. The base point is always at the same distance from the
center of the circular pattern. |
Fill angle |
Specifies the angle between the base points of the
first and last elements in the circular pattern. Type a positive or
negative value. Press enter ot accept the 360° default. A value of zero
is not allowed. |
Levels |
Specifies the number of levels along the Z axis and
the distance between the levels. |
Orient element |
Rotates the copies as they are patterned, otherwise
they maintain the alignment of the source entities. To specify whether
to orient the copies about the axis, type Yes or No. |
Total number |
Specifies the resulting number of copies in the
circular pattern including the source. If you specify the number of
copies, you must specify the Angle
between or the Fill
angle. |

elements or for all elements referencing the original pattern source

Reset |
Restores erased pattern elements and removes any
element overrides. |

To undo the associativity of patterns, use the Explode
command.
