General

The General page lets you set user interface properties, such as the display language, menu style, and auto-save behavior.

Option Description
Language

Specifies the Composer user interface language, which determines the application resource files to use. The following languages are supported:

  • Czech
  • Chinese (Taiwan)
  • Chinese (Simplified)
  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Russian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Polish
  • Portuguese (Brazil)
  • Spanish
  • Turkish

You must restart the application for the change to take effect.

Note: When you change the application language, you must uninstall the current version of Adobe SVG Viewer and install the correct language version from http://www.adobe.com/svg/viewer/install. Not doing so might result in viewer issues.

Undo history size Specifies the maximum number of commands you can undo. Larger values use more memory.
Display mini-toolbar in the viewport Displays a command toolbar when you right-click in the viewport. The toolbar contains many common commands (including commands to cut, copy, and paste actors) and your three most recently used commands. The mini-toolbar is not configurable.

Smart docking bars Simplifies repositioning user-interface components, such as the Properties and Workshops panes. As you drag a pane around the user interface, icons appear that provide placement options. Drag the pane over an icon to highlight its new location and drop the pane to place it.

Reset Prompts Restores prompts to their default behaviors. For example, when you modify a view and then activate a different view, you are prompted to save your changes. When you select Don't ask this question again, prompting is disabled. Click Reset Prompts to restore prompting.
Reset GUI Layout Resets toolbars and user-interface layout to their original positions. You must restart the application for the change to take effect.
Theme Specifies the theme to use for the user interface. You can choose between White, Light Gray (by default) and Dark Gray.
Automatic save Saves open files at the specified interval (in minutes) in a Bak folder under the User folder. See Application Paths.

Note: New and updated views are saved, but current (unsaved) view modifications are not.
