Drag the
initial view to the viewport.
Click

Composer switches from view mode to animation mode and displays the Timeline pane at the bottom of the window. The viewport
is empty at the beginning of the animation (time=0).
In the Timeline toolbar, click
Play/Pause
.
A 10-second animation plays in the viewport.
If the animation begins replaying, click
Stop
and then click
Loop Play Mode
to turn off continuous play mode.
Use the other animation controls (
Previous Key
,
Previous Frame
, and so on) to move to different points in the animation.
Drag the timebar (the vertical line in the Timeline pane) to move to different points in the animation.
Move the timebar to time=12 seconds.
In the viewport, select the
Base Extrude part.
In the Timeline pane, click
Set Location Key
.
This creates a location key that captures the position of the actor at time=12.
Drag the timebar to time=15.
Using
Free Dragging
mode, drag
Base Extrude to a new location, and then click
Set Location Key
.
Click
Play/Pause
to play the animation from the beginning.
The animation is now 15 seconds long with the last three seconds moving
Base Extrude.
Click
and click
No to exit without saving.
