Routing Component Wizard - Mate Reference Dialog Box

You can use the Mate Reference dialog box to add, edit, or delete mate references that position the components when you insert them.

The Mate Reference option is available only if the component requires a mate reference, for example, components such as flanges, hangers, and assembly fittings.
To display this dialog box, do one of the following:
  • Click Routing > Routing Tools > Routing Library Manager, and click Routing Component Wizard .
  • From the Windows Start menu, click All Programs > SOLIDWORKS version > SOLIDWORKS Tools > SOLIDWORKS version Routing Library Manager > Routing Component Wizard .

Required and Optional Mate Reference

Add required mate references.

Add   Adds mate references that the wizard suggests.
Edit Edits mate references.
Delete Deletes mate references.

Mate Reference Type

Default Inserts a default mate reference to the component.
For Rail Inserts a mate reference for a component inserted on a rail. Only available in SOLIDWORKS Electrical.
For Cabinet Inserts a mate reference for a component inserted into the cabinet. Only available in SOLIDWORKS Electrical.
For Cabinet Door Inserts a mate reference for a component inserted on the cabinet door. Only available in SOLIDWORKS Electrical.

Component Alignment Options

   
Define Faces Defines the faces of the component allowing its orientation during its insertion. Only available in SOLIDWORKS Electrical.
