Settings Dialog Box - Adding Folders

Use the Adding Folders page to control how folders that are created by applications are handled.

By default, if an application creates new folders in the local vault view, they are considered as temporary folders and are only stored locally and not added to the vault.

These settings let you specify folders that are automatically added to the vault.

To display the Settings dialog box:

Right-click a user or group and select Settings.

Added folders If specific folders should be added to the vault automatically by an application, you can add those folder names to the list.

Add one folder pattern per line. The patterns can contain wildcard characters such as * and ?.

For example, an application always creates a Components subfolder when a new project is created. To ensure that the folder is added automatically, add Components to the added folder list.

Excluded folders You can add temporary folders that an application creates automatically to the excluded folders list if you do not want them to be part of the vault.

Both the folders and the files created in them become local.
