Flatten Route PropertyManager

To access the PropertyManager in the route subassembly, click Tools > Routing > Electrical > Flatten Route.

Flatten Type

Annotation Specifies simplified representations of the route as a flattened configuration and drawing. The lines are not true lengths, but the annotations on the route segments display the true length of the routed wire.
Manufacture Specifies scaled representations of the route as a flattened configuration and drawing. These representations are made to scale within a region.

Flatten Parameters

Route Sketch Segment Specifies a sketch segment near a route segment end. The segment specifies the orientation of the flattened route.
Flattened Route Center Specifies scaled representations of the route as a flattened configuration and drawing. These representations scale within a region.
Convert All Splines to Lines   Converts all splines of the routing assembly to lines in the flattened route, except for the fan outs.
Select components to maintain 3D orientation   Select this to keep the connector orientation in the flattened route and select the required connectors in the graphical area. This allows you to have the correct length of the fan-outs and to keep the backshell orientation.
Segment Orientation Horizontal or Vertical or Orients the selected segment. If you do not select a segment, it orients the segment closest to the center of the route.

Flatten Options

Include Clips Displays the flatten clips on flattened drawings.
Maintain 3D Orientation for Loops with Splices Allows loops with splices to maintain 3D orientation.
Include Inline Components Displays the Inline components on the flattened drawings.
Length Annotation Displays length annotations in the flattened route.
Show Length Leaders Displays length leaders in the flattened route and on flattened drawings.

Connectors

Show 3D connectors Displays the 3D models of the connectors in the flattened route.
Show Drawing Connector Blocks Displays 2D drawing blocks of the connectors in the drawing of the flattened route. No connectors appear in the flattened configuration of the model.

Formboard

Formboard Width Sets the width of the formboard sketch.
Formboard Height Sets the height of the formboard sketch.

Drawing Options

Select tables and annotations to appear on the drawing. Click Open Table Template to browse for different templates.

Drawing template Selects a drawing template. The default template is Drawing.drwdot.
Sheet format template Selects a sheet format template. The default template is a2 - landscape.
Electrical BOM Adds an Electrical BOM table at the upper right of the drawing. The default template is bom-standard.sldbomtbt.
Cut list Adds a Cut list (Circuit summary) table at the top of the drawing. The table lists cut lengths and connection information for each conductor. The default template is bom-circuit-summary.sldbomtbt.
Connector table Adds a table for each connector with pin/cavity designations and lists the corresponding wires. The connector table is inserted near the connector block. The default template is connector-table.sldtbt.
Auto balloons Adds balloons for each item in the bill of materials.
Display wire balloons Displays wire balloons in the bill of materials.
Hide Empty Pin Rows Hides the rows of empty pins in connector tables.
