Symbol selector

Insert symbol command: Other symbol

Used for all symbol types: schematics, line diagrams, connection labels, and 2D footprints

Properties of a symbol or a manufacturer part: Terminal type [...]

 

The symbols in the selector are stored in the Symbol management.

 

Properties: Opens the selected symbol properties dialog box.

Preview: Opens the selected symbol preview window.

List mode: Displays the list of symbols (name, description, classification).

Thumbnail mode: Displays symbols in the form of thumbnail previews.

Configuration: Manages display settings for items in the dialog box.

 

1.     Select the symbol you want.

2.     Click Select button to validate.

 

On the Insert symbol feature, the selected symbol is automatically added to the Symbol insertion side panel.

On the Properties of a symbol or a manufacturer part, the selected symbol is automatically saved in the data of the symbol or the manufacturer part.

Classification

This tab displays the classification of symbols in tree form.

The left side of the dialog box shows the classifications of symbols, the right side shows the symbols in the currently selected classification.

Display sub-class content: Check this box to display all symbols contained in the sub-class of the selected classification.

Filters

This tab lets you filter the symbols list. Filter criteria from the symbol properties are shown.

The right side of the dialog box shows the symbols corresponding to the selected criteria.

Remove filter: Remove all filter criteria.
