Hyperlink

Menu: Draw > Hyperlink

Contextual menu of a scheme, a line diagram, a cabinet layout, a terminal strips or a report entity.

 

The Hyperlink allows you to link an external file or a project drawing to a graphical element. It can also be used to link to items such as image files, PDF files.

 

A dialog box opens allowing you to create a hyperlink.

 

Text to display: Enter the text for the hyperlink. This text appears in the context menu of the entity where the hyperlink has been created.

Hyperlink target: Click the [...] button to select the linked file.

Path relative to current folder: Select this option to display the file path in relative mode.

 

 

Absolute file path: Indicates the file path in absolute mode.

Current folder: Indicates the folder of the current electrical project.

Hyperlink to project drawing: Click the [...] button to select a drawing of the current electrical project.

Remove link: Allows you to delete the link.

Open target: Allows you to open the file with the application to which it is associated. If the target is a project drawing, it is open in the graphical area.

 

In the contextual menu of the entity that has a hyperlink, commands allow you to manage the hyperlink.

 

Modify: Allows to modify the hyperlink.

Delete: Allows to remove the hyperlink.

 

Attention: Files associated with hyperlinks are not integrated into the archive file when archiving the electrical project. If you want these to be available in the archive, add them as a data file to the electrical project.
