Add data file

SOLIDWORKS Electrical allows you to manage any file type (such as PDF or Excel files). The only restriction is that you need to have a program installed that can open the file type. SOLIDWORKS Electrical automatically uses Windows associations to open these files.

Menu: Electrical project > New > Data files

Contextual menu of book: New > Data files

Contextual menu of folder: New > Data files

SOLIDWORKS Electrical makes a copy of the original file and places it in the electrical project directory, the content of which will be included when archiving the electrical project.

When the data file is added to the electrical project, double-click on it to open it with the associated application.
