Insert black box

 Menu: Schematic > Insert black box

 

When used for the first time, the symbol selector opens to lets you add the symbols you want to insert. This symbol is then saved, and you then can select this symbol when you run the symbol insertion command a second time.

 

The dockable panel displays available options.

 

Pinned the command. You can continue using the command as long as it is pinned.

Stops the command after one symbol is inserted.

Specify symbol to insert

Shows the last symbol that was inserted. If no symbol is saved, the symbol selector opens automatically.

If you do not want to insert the symbol shown, click on the Other symbol button. The symbol selector opens, letting you choose another one.

Options

Manual mark: If this option is selected, the Symbol dialog box opens and the mark is automatically displayed in manual mode.

Ask for properties: If this option is not selected, the Symbol dialog box does not open and the mark is automatically calculated and applied according to the electrical project settings.

Adjust size to drawing unit: Allows you to manage dimension unit conflict. For example to insert an IEC symbol into a drawing with a title block with imperial units.

 

1.     In the graphic interface, click on the insertion point.

2.     Click the point that marks the dimensions of the black box.
