Lets you delete unused blocks, text styles, line types, and other elements
in the definition table of the document. Purging DWG files reduces or
optimizes file size.
The dialog box displays Purgeable
and Non-purgeable elements.
An element can be purged if it is not used in the DWG file.
In the dialog box, select the elements to purge. You can use the multi-selection
keys (Ctrl, Shift).
When purging a DWG file, available options appear in the Purge
dialog box:

When selected, a message box opens on each deletion. You must validate
each deletion.
Purge nested elements: When
selected, any nested elements (elements that depend on other elements)
are also deleted.
Purge selection: Purges the
selected elements.
Purge all: Purges all elements
regardless of the selection.
