Wire properties

|
Wire contextual menu: Wire
properties |
Opens the wire properties dialog box, letting you edit information specific
to the wire.
This data comes from the equipotential
properties the wire belongs to, which is generated by the wire style properties.
If you modify the wire style or equipotential properties, these will
automatically be passed on to the wire properties.
Modifying the mark and/or properties of the wire only affects the wire
the command was used on.
Mark
The wire mark is calculated automatically by the wire
numbering or entered manually via the wire
mark editor.
Mode: If you select the Automatic mode, the mark is automatically
calculated according to the configuration settings. If you select Manual mode, you must enter the
mark manually in the Mark setting.
Mark: Displays the automatic
mark or is used to enter the manual mark.
General
Diameter (mm): Lets you enter
the diameter of the wire.
Section or gauge: Lets you enter
the section of the wire.
Wire size standard: Allows you
to select the standard used in the electrical project.
Color: Allows you to select
the real color of the wire. This
color will be used in the 3D routing.
Bend radius factor: Enter the
value of the bend radius factor. Generally, the manufacturer provides
this value. It is used to calculate the bend radius.
Bend radius (bend radius factor X Diameter):
This value is automatically calculated using the bend radius factor and
the diameter. You can change it if necessary. This
value is used for the cable 3D routing.
Linear mass: Allows you to specify
a linear weight (density) for wires with different units (kg/km, g/m...)
to distribute the weight of wire all along his length. This
is used in particular to calculate the center of gravity of 3D assembly.
Signal: Lets you enter the signal
conveyed by the wire.
Routing
Path:
Displays the name of the ducts in which, the wire is routed.
Conditions to be able to get the
duct path are:
- One
separated component has to be created for each duct.
- The
duct part must contain a EW_PATH axis (or sketch) when the wire is following
this axis, the duct should be listed in the wire duct path.
- Segregation
is not required for this, it just helps to make sure wire goes through
the desired path.
- The
wire duct path is calculated with the menu command Calculate
cable duct filling ratio. It is not updated during the routing
process
Harness:
Click the button [...] to add
the wire to a harness.
Length
(mm): You can enter the wire length. This value is automatically
updated when the wire is routed within the 3D layout.
Associated data
Wire style: Displays the wire
style.
Equipotential: Indicates the
equipotential number associated with this wire.
Cabling order: Displays the
wire cabling order line number.
Origin: Displays the mark of
the component connected to the wire (origin).
Destination: Displays the mark
of the component connected to the wire (destination).
Cable core: If the wire is associated
with a cable core, this field indicates the cable mark and the cable core
mark. If this wire represents a bridge, the icon is changed, representing
the bridge.
User data
The user data fields can
be used to enter all information you would like to manage regarding the
equipotential.
The Customize... button gives
access to user data management.
