Connection Labels This section contains information on connection labels. Contents About Connection Labels Connection labels are symbols that display information specific to the cabling of the device. This specificity also means that you can insert them outside a scheme drawing or a line drawing (drawings of terminal strips, reports, or 2D layouts). Insert Connection label (Manufacturer part) You can insert connection labels into scheme drawings, wiring diagrams, and 2D layout drawings. If you want to place a connection label into a terminal strip or report drawing, first insert it into a scheme drawing, then move it into the terminal strip or report drawing using the Cut/Paste commands. Insert Multiple Connection Labels (Component) You can insert multiple connection labels or 2D footprints. Insert Dynamic Connection Label You can insert connection labels into scheme drawings, wiring diagrams, and 2D layout drawings. When you insert a dynamic connection label, the symbol representing it is automatically created, according to the configuration parameters. Connection Label Configuration The configuration files contain the required parameters to draw the dynamic connection labels. Create Connection Label As connection labels are symbols in their own right, you can create this type of symbol in Symbols management. Parent topicSOLIDWORKS Electrical
