Specifying Torsional Springs or Dampers You can create a spring that stores energy or a damper that dissipates energy when twisted. To create a torsional spring or damper: Open the PropertyManager and select the type: To specify a torsional spring, click Spring (MotionManager toolbar) and click Torsional Spring . To specify a torsional damper, click Damper (MotionManager toolbar) and click Torsional Damper . In the first selection box, select the face or edge on the part to which one end of the spring or damper is attached. This feature also specifies the torque direction. The selected feature and torque vector are highlighted. To change the torque vector, in the first selection box, select a second face or edge that defines the required direction. To reverse the torque direction, click . In the second selection box, select the face or edge on a second part to which the spring or damper is attached.
