- Displaying Document Open Time in File Explorer
The file property, Last Open Time, appears in a tooltip when you hover the pointer over a SOLIDWORKS part, assembly, or drawing document in File Explorer.

3DEXPERIENCE users can open can open a product structure of different CAD applications. The different CADs supported by Design with SOLIDWORKS are: CATIA V5, INVENTOR, SOLIDEDGE, CREO, NX, ALTIUM, and CADENCE. For each assembly node, a temporary SOLIDWORKS assembly file is created.
- Notification of Updated Status When Opening Files
When the system opens 3DEXPERIENCE files from your computer, the message bar notifies you about the new updates to the files on the platform.

- Open Model in Position
When you open a part or subassembly from an assembly or drawing document, you can open the model in the same view position and orientation as seen in the assembly or drawing view.
- Opening Auto-Recovered Documents
You can open an auto-recovered document from the Alerts tab of the Welcome Dialog Box. You can delete the file, or save the file by replacing the original file or by creating a file.
- Opening Document Copies
After opening or modifying a document, you can save it as a copy and open the new copy automatically. References to the original document are not assigned to the copy.
