You can update
Link to 3rd party field values for some or all records in an
object.
Nonadministrators can update the values for selected records in the Main
Grid or for all records on a page. Administrators can update the values for all records
in an object. This restricts users from affecting system performance if there are many
fields or ones with complex queries.
This is a convenient
way to populate a new Link to 3rd party field without writing a
separate SQL query.
