2-D Steady State Thermal Analysis

A rectangular plate (0.6 m x 1 m) is subjected to a uniform prescribed temperature on one edge and convection to ambient temperature at two edges. Determine the steady state temperature distribution at the predefined location A (x = 0.6 m, y = 0.2 m).

The temperature at one horizontal edge of the plate is maintained at 100 0C. One vertical edge acts as an insulated boundary, and a convection boundary condition is applied at the other two edges. The heat transfer coefficient for convection is 750 W/m2 0C. Dimensions are shown in m.
