Adding a Force In an analysis with a beam mesh, you can apply loads and fixtures to joints only. To add a force: Right-click the External Loads folder and select Force . In the PropertyManager, under Selection: Click Joints . Select the joint shown for Joints. Select Front from the flyout FeatureManager design tree for Face, Edge, Plane for Direction . Under Units, select English (IPS). Under Force: Click Along Plane Dir 2 . Type 64000. Select Reverse direction so the force points downward. Click .
