Assigning Initial Temperatures to the Model Components

The CoffeePot and the Top components are initially at 72 °F and the Coffee is initially at 195 °F.

To assign initial temperature to the CoffeePot and Top components:

  1. In the Simulation study tree, right-click the Thermal Loads icon and select Temperature .
    The Temperature PropertyManager appears.
  2. Under Type, select Initial temperature.
  3. In the flyout FeatureManager design tree, click the coffeepot<1> and top<1> icons.
    The selected components appear in the Faces, Edges, Vertices for Temperature box .
  4. Under Temperature, select Fahrenheit then type 72 in the value box.
  5. Click PM_OK.gif.
  6. Similarly, assign an initial temperature of 195 °F to the coffee<1> component.
