Inserting the Coincident Mate Primitive

Insert the coincident mate primitive to replace the redundant mate.

  1. In the FeatureManager design tree, expand my_connector<2> and select Axis1.
  2. Expand my_piston female<1> and select Point1.
  3. In the PropertyManager, for Standard Mates, click Coincident .
    Click No if the Update Initial Animation State dialog box appears.
  4. Click to save the mate.
  5. Click to close the PropertyManager.
  6. Click Calculate (MotionManager toolbar).
    The number of redundancies reduces to five.
