Opening the Model and Defining a Nonlinear Study

Browse to drive letter:\Users\Public\Public Documents\SOLIDWORKS\SOLIDWORKS version\samples\Simulation Examples\Nonlinear\NL_Archwire.SLDPRT and open the file.
Create a nonlinear static study.
Right-click the study and select Properties.
Set the properties of the nonlinear study as follows:
1. On the Solution tab, set End time to 1.
2. Under Time increment, make sure Automatic (autostepping) is selected.
3. Make sure Initial time increment is set to 0.01.
4. Make sure Min is set to 1e-08 and type 0.05 for Max.
5. Under Solver Selection, select Automatic.
6. Click Advanced Options.
7. On the Advanced tab, under Step/Tolerance options, make sure 0.01 is set for Maximum incremental strain.
8. Click OK.
