Adding Web Shares

After you create a Web configuration, you must add the vault and part of the vault that should be accessible when using the Web share.

You must have Can create web share permission in the vault to create Web shares.

To add a Web share to a configuration:

  1. Right-click the Web configuration for which you want to add a Web share and select Add Vault.
  2. In the Add Vault dialog box, use the Vault list to select the vault for which to create a share.

    If you are connected to multiple archive servers, the list includes all vaults on those servers.

  3. Click OK.

    The vault is listed under the configuration.

  4. To specify the parts of the vault that should be accessible in this configuration, right-click the vault name and select Add Web Share.
  5. In the Add Web Share dialog box, select the folder to share. Any subfolders are shared as well.

    To make the entire vault available for Web access, select the top vault name.

    The folder and state permissions for the logged in Web user control how much of the vault is visible to the user.

  6. Click OK.

    The Web share is listed under the configuration.
