Incrementing Revision Numbers

The default workflow automatically assigns a revision number when an item or file is approved. You can also manually assign a revision number to an item or file.

  • The item or file must be checked in.
  • When using the default workflow, the item or file must be in the Approved state.

To manually increment revision numbers:

  1. Select the items or files, then right-click and select Increment Revision.
  2. In the Increment Revision dialog box, ensure that the items and files whose revision numbers you want to increment are selected under Inc. Rev.
  3. Click OK.
